Just seen the first Doctor Who episode. Dear god .... there are no words :-(
@Antiqueight Reading comments on the plot synopsis of the episode in the Guardian and it would seem I'm far from the only one with the same reaction. Not at all impressed with what RTD/Disney have produced so far.

I do not know what in god's name that was - it was disturbing and bad. So so bad. And she's going to be another impossible girl thing. oh yay.
@bellinghwoman @Antiqueight Ohhhhh. Suddenly enlightened - I’d been confused by your post as surely you must have seen “An Unearthly Child”? 
@m @Antiqueight Yes I did. And most of old Who, and all of new Who, and while there have been some pretty bad clunkers in both, for me that 1st episode last night was the worst I can remember.
@bellinghwoman @Antiqueight I had no idea the new series had begun, which is why I was so confused.. but having now read the Grauniad’s synopsis all I can think is “oh dear”.
@m @Antiqueight Indeed. I hope that for Ncuti Gatwa's sake things improve.
@bellinghwoman @m @Antiqueight Space babies was a screamingly clunky on boarding episode because no-one is allowed to drop in the middle of the action and just work it out anymore. Devil's chord was better but two episodes on the trot with the doctor running scared is not a good look.
