So, if I had to talk to someone to make a complaint - like in person, verbally - I would never. But in text I so totally can do it. Rather than suffer in silence I am little miss complainy pants. It's weird. Why am I unable to do it verbally?
@Antiqueight The mental/emotional stakes are higher when you get the other person's reaction in real time. Text is just text, but when you can actually see them, it feels more real. Empathy with and/or fear of their reaction becomes a stronger factor.
@WearsHats Yeah but I know I'm talking to calm CS people who won't have any major reactions other than empathy and I STILL wouldn't want to do it verbally
I don't like things like Alexa because I'd have to SPEAK to it
@Antiqueight Saying it out loud still feels more real and like more effort?
@WearsHats Physically it IS more effort. I dunno. I mean, the one thing said about me since I was old enough to talk was that I was a chattermouth or talkative (broken gramophone aged 4) and yet SPEAKING is something I find hard to do??
@Antiqueight Brains are weird!
@Antiqueight I do enjoy chatting with you, though. Someday I'd like to experience it in person. IDK how. But would be nice!
@WearsHats yes. That would be great.
