@oftencalledcathy cases have been rising steadily for a few weeks now, and that's *before* schools go back at the end of the month
@COVID19IECharts @oftencalledcathy how do overall numbers of tests compare? Are we seeing hundreds now, compared to thousands before, and could that have an impact on positivity rates?
@faduda @oftencalledcathy overall, much less tests are taking place. I think people that are getting tested are showing symptoms, so are more likely to be positive.
@COVID19IECharts @oftencalledcathy I'm wondering if the numbers we should focus on are hospital admissions etc, and how they compare to previous post-vax waves (numbers from 2020 - and maybe 2022- are no longer a good base for comparison)
@faduda @COVID19IECharts I mainly keep an eye on the trend in positivity, which has substantially increased in the past 4 weeks
@COVID19IECharts we could be in for a grim month or two
