This is an infographic to highlight today's Distribution of Earnings by Gender and County 2023 release. The headline reads: Over half (56.7%) of employments with earnings in the top 1% were held by those living in Dublin.

On the infographic itself, for Total employments, it shows Males at 50.9% with females at 49.1%. For Employments with earnings in the Top 1%, there were 73.6% male and 26.4% female.

With regards to Median Annual Earnings in 2023, the lowest was in Donegal at €35,010, the highest was in Dublin at €47,873, while Nationally it was €43,221.

In terms of Economic Sector, the Sector with the highest proportion of female employments among the top earners was Human Health & Social Work at 37.2%. The Sector with the highest proportion of male employments among the top earners was Construction at 94.7%.
