But you must know that you are supporting what is fast becoming a right wing racist environment whose owner thinks Nazis have the same right to be heard as their victims. And that lies hold the same currency as the truth. He's banning people who he disagrees with and is now using it to forward his own political views. If you're happy to be a part of all that, fine.

How the would you know what I mind or don't mind? How would you know anything about my motivations. Just listen to yourself, with your it's "fine", it's "okay" when all you want to do is judge. Anyone can see that.

@Ciaraioch I completely understand how some people, got a lot from it. Personally I kept up to date on news and politics. I didn't depend on it for staying in contact, or promoting my business.
Though over time I realised that it was impacting my mood and general outlook. I had been feeling it for a while. There was a last straw for me a month ago, and my (14 year old) account will disappear tomorrow after 30 days deactivated.
Moving away was good for me. Each to their own.
@Ciaraioch I figured if I keep my account then my data is on Twitter servers costing money to maintain while I spend my diminishing time there mostly blocking the increasingly adventurous transphobes, racists and conspiracy theorists who wander into my rapidly depleting time line.

@Ciaraioch to be serious for a moment, I must be fortunate as the people I follow and exchange with on T are normal folks whether their thing is jokes, language, music, or professional (Excel, tech, dev) interests. I'd say nearly all are still on T and not on M. I know to stay out of the rough pubs

Just FYI I asked in my work account what M server any followers would move to; none responded. I guess until something actually breaks, nobody has any incentive to move.
