In 2023, Nestlé is estimated to have paid the kremlin $24 million in profit taxes, making it one of the top contributors to moscow's militarised budget among foreign companies.
In March 2022, #Ukraine’s PM Denys Shmyhal contacted #Nestle’s then-chief executive Mark Schneider to convince him to pull out of russia.
“Unfortunately he shows no understanding,” the head of government said. “Paying taxes to the budget of a terrorist country means killing defenseless children and mothers.”
Boycott Nestlé products, when you go shopping, show them that staying in russia will hurt them much more than leaving ever would.
@EugeneMcParland and then continue that boycott for life.
@EugeneMcParland
Nestlé is a monster! Whenever possible I boycott.
@EugeneMcParland onto the naughty list they go.
@EugeneMcParland I've been boycotting Nestlé for 30+ years over their unethical behaviours, starting with the baby milk scandal, then destruction of rival companies, to appropriation of water. The fight continues.
Sometimes it's depressing to still encounter people who say "What? Why??".
"“Paying taxes to the budget of a terrorist country means killing defenseless children and mothers," applies to American taxpayers, too. We're more like the Russians than they are. Shame on us.
