If you didn't wish to leave your 🐦handle up for grabs (after 30days of , that's what happens) set your account to PRIVATE. It's the same as to your account - a padlock shows after your name. :

Settings and privacy > Privacy and safety > Audience and tagging > Protect your tweets✅️ then log out on Your account > Account information > Log out
