I am pretty much against biological essentialism and I do my best to ensure my work reflects that.
Unfortunately that is relevant to this review of representation in the 2024 D&D player's handbook which covers quite the range of topics.
It's spicy stuff! And quite refreshing to hear in honesty.

@Homebrewandhacking Nice article! :D
I have seen an interview snippet where they said that mixed species characters will come back, just not in the core rule book.
Revealing of priorities.
People of mixed heritage aren't seen as normal by the white guys in Seattle.
You can imagine I have views.
@Homebrewandhacking I do and understandably so.
All I have seen of the book is artwork (and (I will not give them any money in the near future, so it will stay that way) and was pleased to see a wider representation of people. Of course its sad to hear it does not reflect in the texts.
It's a choice. They know disabled players want representation but rather than hire Mustangsart or some other expert, they'd rather punch down.

Would you mind going through the trouble to edit the link and remove the Discord tracker? I'd hate to make anyone think I support that AI-friendly platform in any way. :)
Oh sure. There ya go.
