The need and difficulty of demonstrating importance and usefulness of a place and skillset feels very familiar to me as a librarian. I was also interested in what you had to say about archeology in Australia. We hear a lot here about companies harming sacred and important sites but not much about the work that happens to try to prevent that damage. Thank you for your work!

Great episode! I got to visit one of my sons at an archeological site where he was working on Inis Mór this summer (and where I got to put my dodgy Irish to practical use for once); he has an internship at a museum in Duluth, MN, now, and is looking at a museums and public history career after university - bringing history to life is such an important job that enriches all our lives
