I heard my first cuckoo yesterday on the western side of Galway city. I saw my first swallows last Friday - there were five of them today feeding on the wing at the Claddagh this morning. And yesterday morning, I spotted apair of bullfinches - the male one was good enough to land near me.

@John_Smyth @birdwatchie have a blue tit nesting in an old water pump over the well. Slips in where the handle should be. Last year it was abandoned but generally used each year, Frost tonight and it is made of cast iron
