A milepost / milestone I saw on the Wilton Road in #CorkCity #Cork marking 2 miles to Cork city + 16 miles to Innishannon
Apparently it dates from around 1830! It looks a little uncared for- perhaps it could be cleaned up a bit...

It would be great if the one on Wilton Road in #Cork could be cleaned up a little!
@OOH99 Seems to be a lot of fading, forgotten and uncared for bits of infrastructural / transport history around. They could be an interesting way of marking local trails, particularly for cyclists and walkers. They're on a very cyclable scale, as they were designed for horse drawn transport.
