#SongOfTheDay: Teenage Wildlife by #DavidBowie. A Guardian writer called it Bowie's "early mid-life crisis song", an ironic response to the New Wave he helped to inspire by 1980. Gary Numan took the lyrics personally, saying "I never claimed to be original". Pete Townshend guested on the Scary Monsters album too, nearly a decade after The Who's Baba O'Riley and its "Teenage Wasteland". Musically, Teenage Wildlife harks back to Bowie's 'Heroes', with Fripp in a more expressive mode. #DeepCut
