Una Mullally takes note of dramatically shifting takes on the #IrishLanguage by young creatives. A language which was on the edge of the grave is pulling back from the edge as artists assert their Irish identity by embracing #Gaeilge as an increasingly important or central element of their finished work
@mnutty I am seeing a growing interest in young people using Gaeilge in creative efforts.
My sense is that there is a growing interest in the Irish language across the Irish community both in Ireland and the diaspora.
@bullivant, it’ll be very interesting to see what happens if An Cailín Ciúin / The Quiet Girl progresses further along the #Oscar trail. For my money one of the best films I’ve seen in the past couple of decades
Should the #Hollywood gods look kindly on it, we might see a #Riverdance moment for #IrishLanguage film which will elevate @Gaeilge and develop a greater demand for similar media
Colm Bairéad and Cleona Ní Chrualaoi, director and producer of the film were kind enough to come on @IrishStewPodcast and give an inside look at the production. You might find it interesting

@mnutty @Gaeilge @IrishStewPodcast Thanks Martin, I'll definitely give that a listen.
@mnutty @Gaeilge @IrishStewPodcast Martin, I've had a chance to listen to this podcast. It is very interesting, so thank you for the recommendation.
@IrishStewPodcast @bullivant @Gaeilge I will admit to it being a little self serving
@mnutty @IrishStewPodcast @Gaeilge No point being modest, Martin.
@bullivant @mnutty You might want to take a look at this place. I spent a Summer there when I was a teen. Scots Gaelic isn't easy.
