@bullivant irony right wing politics is your name
@steinstory Very much.
@bullivant There have been plenty Chinese bots on my modest websites, no idea whose though.
@evert I manage a couple of websites and have excluded every single AI engine in the robots.txt files.
We also have this text at the bottom of every page on each website: "No part of this page or website may be used or reproduced in any manner for the purpose of training artificial intelligence technologies or systems. In accordance with Article 4(3) of the Digital Single Market Directive 2019/790, we expressly reserve this work from the text and data mining exception."
@bullivant Coming to think of it: I have no problem with bots scraping my texts (and my blogs feeding the AI's 'opinions') but images are another story. But swiftly looking at https://originality.ai/ai-bot-blocking separating text- vs images access is easier said than done...
@evert Interesting share, thank you. I do have a problem with the likes of ChatGPT ripping off our content so I block as much as I can.
