I don't often agree with Mannix Flynn but his absolutely right here - the site was never the right place for a Primary Care Centre in .

The Herman White site in the centre of Rathmines would be a much more appropriate location for a civic building of this scale and importance, and would help to consolidate the area that includes the Town Hall, Library and Leisure Centre as the civic heart of Rathmines.

It would also open up an opportunity to create a connection directly from the main street to St Louis' Primary School and extend the green space behind the Leisure Centre.

There's also a big opportunity coming with to redesign the roadway in this area so it feels less like a thoroughfare and more like part of a town centre.
