A female sparrow hawk gets to grips with an unfortunate starling. Shortly afterwards, the hawk was spooked by a passerby and a magpie who continuously dived and swooped close to her and she flew off without her prey. I tried to locate the starling but couldn’t find it so maybe it survived and flew to safety…. Or perhaps the magpie got it. #BirdWatch #sparrowhawk #birdsofprey #mastodaoine
