When you board a flight they'll ask you to look out the window and inspect the wings for loose screws, especially on a Boeing flight. Lucky this person did and someone tightened it after he told the crew.

(It probably wasn't a critical problem, and "hundred mile an hour tape" (like gaffer tape but more grippy) would be a usual fix if there was a problem with a single fastener.)
