Couldn't give a ballox about #fortnite and the games industry in general seems to be toxic as all fuck, but it's great to see someone taking on apple and Google's Monopoly on literally fucking everything.
Anyone know of an #ActivityPub project to interconnect retail websites? Something to challenge Amazon with a web of shops. Not even sure that makes sense with ActivityPub.
Hello, #Funkwhale friend! We are looking for contributors, and maybe you could help us!
We're currently looking for development help, but there's lots of other ways to contribute. Give this new blog a read, and share with anyone you think might be interested. And @ us with any questions.

Went and translated #tusky into Irish, so I did.
Heavy use of google translate was involved, but I think I vetted it pretty well.
#Tusky 12 is out!
Thx so much to everybody who helped me with this, to all translators, to all bug reporters ❤️
I could never do this alone
Showing eloquently that there is a unique opportunity for EU to walk a different, better path than that of Big Tech, VC startup culture, unicorns, that only lead to more #surveillancecapitalism
Let's hope they finally listen over there in Brussels and follow that right path.

I've moved my dev box to a DEV1-XL. 4 virtual cores and 12GB of RAM - 29.99 a month. I know I'm probably comparing apples to oranges here, but the price increase is staggering.
They're killing off the C2* range. mastodon.ie is currently on a C2M instance. 17.99 a month. 16GB of RAM and 8 cores...
Beginning to wonder if I might be better off financially to just go with a new Scaleway instance type (this whole migration faff is happening because they're removing the type that currently hosts mastodon.ie) instead of going to the hosted route with masto.host.
Here's the disk usage before I started, after running the first command and after running the second command:
Filesystem Size Used Avail Use% Mounted on
/dev/nbd1 137G 62G 68G 48% /mnt/mastodon_data
/dev/nbd1 137G 38G 93G 29% /mnt/mastodon_data
/dev/nbd1 137G 35G 96G 27% /mnt/mastodon_data
Here's a search engine that'll let you search the fediverse for toots/accounts that might interest you. DEFINITELY far better than us spamming the shit out of ourselves with relays.
