Sitting here fighting the RPi x86 OS. Cannot get any of the Arduino IDEs to run... Missing dependencies! It is not meant to be this annoying. Gonna try LXLE again, USB bootable stick ready to go 🚀

Ok, focal 64bit installed and the v2.0.3 appimage IDE just works! 🥳

What a pain! Spent ages trying to get working on focal 64. Able to prove that samba was installed but the service was refusing to start. Also, trying to connect as a client to other servers failed. Eventually decided to blow away the smb.conf file, replacing it with the default. After that I was able to start the smbd service. Then able to connect to shares and advertise them too. No idea why the "as installed" smb.conf file was such a mess, and needed to be exterminated 😠
