I guess I see it as both. Definitely peer to peer conversation. I see journalism posts as a sparking point for peer to peer engagement.

I’d also add that, #Twitter / #X continues to be a sticky site because it’s the primary location for breaking news.

I’m not suggesting that we should want #Mastodon to be the same as that blighted service, but I do think the long term viability of Mastodon will be enhanced by quality #NewsMedia content
