Whins (Common Gorse) flowering yesterday in the #sunshine. Lovely view overlooking Edenderry, Townland: Ballynahatty. On the path from Giants Ring #henge to Minnowburn.

@ToniScott @Wildflower_Hour @Botany_beck Thankfully there is always some! A great deal on this warm bank!
@organicbotanic where I grew up it was called Broom :) it covered the entire hillside of the town and it made the place smell amazing. The smell of broom and the smell of the sea are what I miss most about my hometown.
@Qukatt I think Broom may be something else but could be taken for this ....but some people find Gorse/Whin smells of coconut (apparently some people can't smell it at all).Broom would have no spines & might smell of vanilla? Sea smell is amazing....
@organicbotanic it's definitely the spiky coconut one! It reminds me of old 90s sun cream smell
