@mothninja So very kind, thank you! It happened because I was outside at night & noticed the wee snail on the edge of the window ledge. Then I thought: I always (& everyone else does too) photograph a snail from the front - and so I got behind the snail to get this snails view of the world! The light was from inside and caught all along the right antenna!

@organicbotanic good thinking! It's a really lovely shot, makes me think the snail should star in a noir detective film :)
