@distrotube I'm sorry DT, I'm usually one to agree with your antics, but I don't think one can equate access to firearms and free software. Uncle Bob is right, when he says software can kill, but accessible firearm laws give far too many people, that shouldn't have access to firearms. If there's more guns available, more people who shouldn't have them, will have them. It's not communist for governments to take away firearms for those without legitimate cause for owning one

@radek That's amazing! Hope everything goes well for you in Wales! -- Sincerely, Ireland

@PINE64 stop! I can't be making impulse purchases with all these uni bills

Officially a Computer Science & Language Student ! (French) can't wait to get a start

@dregin Thanks, as is on my bio my number one is Computer science and language in TCD. Should get it as I'm over 100 points over last year's

I'm happy with my results, far exceeded the requirements for my course so I should do absolutely fine

@F1RUM that often pops up in r/French and r/languagelearning it's a fun little graph, which does teach you about etiquette en français

With just over 4 hours left until leaving r wilts, I'm probably one of tens of thousands lying awake in excitement/dread of 9am

@alexandria Developers like accessibility, but not necessarily implementing it lmao.

I've seen some truly amazing accessibility features though, like holding a phone with the touch screen facing away to be used as a braille pad for the blind.

Technology Accessibility can only be a good thing

@alexbuzzbee What laptop / iGPU? Purely out of curiosity, Some applications you have to force into using your graphics card, possible your web browser is fecking that up

@distrotube It's a really neat €200 laptop. Pine deserve the attention they're getting, especially with their pinephone lineup, they're doing something different and I like it

@distrotube I don't think they'll particularly care, to be frank. Even should it get hundreds of thousands of signatures. "but mah DRM"

Pandemic Consequences

As schools shut on March 12th, the class of 2020, myself included, missed out on their ability to truly "finish" school, It is weird to see students heading to my old school, without me as it still feels like I'm mid-6th year rather than waiting to find out what university I'll be going to, in just 6 days. Absolute craziness.

I'm loving the new EP by released today. One of my all time favourite bands

This one riffs off their CS Lewis based EP perfectly

For those do not know, or are unfamiliar with the Irish Education system, this day week marks the day when Irish Students will find out where they are going to college, myself included. We receive the results to our calculated grades on monday, as I am one of those people. I am not particularly nervous about monday, but regardless I'll feel more at ease once next week is over
