Far be it from me to say "were you wearing hi-viz", but wouldn't yellow fluorescent strips on the inside part slanting down that the drivers hit help?

@sinabhfuil not really. It's the same problem. Drivers aren't paying attention. Some bridges have chains before them to let drivers know they'll hit the bridge. They still do it
@sinabhfuil Having lived near a couple of problematically low bridges, I think no matter how many signs and warnings and flashing lights you put up some people are just going to cruise right into it.
@TonyaCanning A large RSJ suspended from chains at the height of the bridge is the sort of advance warning needed.

@sinabhfuil Maybe any driver who hits a bridge like this should lose their license immediately for x months. It seems like a very accurate test to attentiveness, reflexes, vision, etc.
