Bumblebees, honeybees and many solitary bee species collect pollen on their hind legs to bring back to the nest. #Leafcutter bees however collect pollen on hairs on the underside of their abdomens - their pollen brush.

@elliek Part of a longer clip which we’ll get around to posting over the weekend as a series. Female bee returns to nest. Male is resting just inside the entrance. Probably gets a bit of a fright and reacts to ‘scare’ her off. She responds by getting loud with him. Only surmising but makes sense when you see the rest of the clip.
