My #MankyHanky series continues with the addition of yuck, gross, and bodily fluids. Running low on white so I figured I'd try out another usually white thread...
@triploidtree Omg delightful.
@swachter A lady's hanky should be delicately embroidered, so...
@triploidtree Can I ask what machine you're using for this? I...might be compiling a future wish list...
@swachter This is a brother M280D. It's got the smallest printable area and doesn't cut jump stitches but it also converts into a regular sewing machine with 1 step buttonhole. Depending on where you are, keeping an eye out on secondhand machines can save you a ton (and get you start materials). That said, I am definitely looking for a fancier machine as I find 10x10cm a bit limiting
@triploidtree Realistically I will probably end up getting the embroidery attachment that is made for my current sewing machine but it’s nice to know what’s out there!
@swachter even handier! Check out inkstitch, it's a plugin for inkscape that does a lot of embroidery machine formats. Spend your money on the machine :)
@triploidtree Oooh, thanks for the tip! I will definitely do some playing with that.
@swachter It's super powerful and open source (and free free). If you're already familiar with inkscape it's not the worst to learn. The tutorials on the website are good too
@triploidtree Spectacular.
@helvick thank you!
@triploidtree omg love these
@TAVCreations thanks!They really amuse me when I pull them out of my pocket. Particularly when bodily fluids had to deal with nose bleeds
