People who want everyone to delete Twitter don't seem to realise that a lot of us still use it for important things, like keeping in touch with all the friends who haven't moved to other platforms, or to maintain a carefully cultivated level of constant, anxious dread
@Ciaraioch I completely understand how some people, got a lot from it. Personally I kept up to date on news and politics. I didn't depend on it for staying in contact, or promoting my business.
Though over time I realised that it was impacting my mood and general outlook. I had been feeling it for a while. There was a last straw for me a month ago, and my (14 year old) account will disappear tomorrow after 30 days deactivated.
Moving away was good for me. Each to their own.
