I feel like the only #anime (available rn) that has the potential to fill up the spot #AOT left (maybe even surpass it) is #VinlandSaga. It's a "simple" story, but whoever wrote the (story to that) anime is to me, clearly super talented at making it really well told. Both of them are under the same animation team too.

Three hours of binge watching this yesterday and we are finally in season 4, AND we mostly remember the story line! 😂 I felt bad about spending so long at my friend's house but she pleaded with me--i was helping her put off cleaning the house. Hee!! 😆 And now we don't get together again for a month, so I have to make a note of where we are... #anime #AoT

People (anime nerds) have talked about how Attack on Titan is the best thing since tummy rubs and sliced bread had a baby born without original sin.

So, I bought the series and started watching.

The constant screaming, the act without thought, the baked-in extreme-right politics, the centuries-long secrets, and the poor address of mental health, all this leads me to believe this anime is trying to manufacture consent. For what? I can guess but would have little confidence in specifics.

It became unbearable to watch halfway through Season 2. I'll continue just to make sure but many guesses have been made.

I've also borrowed some manga from a friend and I'm kind of reading each episode after watching the show just to see if things are different.

It's not.

I haven't posted this before eventho I've long wanted to just... leave this remark and go but #VinlandSaga is one of the best anime I've watched in recent times, and yes while it was produced/made by the same animation team of #AOT or whatever - both their later seasons at least, both of them look quite identical (which prompted this otherwise useless comparison) but even as a huge fan of AOT, both my partner and I agree that Vinland Saga's story, so far at least, is far more captivating and better told/delivered than AOT's in its entirety. Also bcos of Vinland, we've been watching #Vikings lol which so far is pretty decent.

I guess while I'm dropping useless remarks, we watched the first ep of #Dandadan last night and it seemed pretty cool/promising for us who have no idea what Dandadan is, and we also just started watching #ElusiveSamurai and we're already in love with it from what we've seen. It's pretty nonchalant so far in delivering sensitive imagery or story, and I always like that (tho I'm also always greedy about it and want more).
