Lovely, allegedly feral, cat Roy still coming for cuddles but maybe not long to live now. The steroids are giving him a big appetite and so there’s lots of food going in but his weight is not good as he lives with a tumour. I’m sure I’ll know when the time comes for him to go but it’s not yet and I’m enjoying the time we have. #CatsOfMastodon #AdoptDontShop

Finally we had our first and only walk this weekend. It's so nice to be in nature in the middle of the city of Atlanta. But my phone pinged saying a heavy rain was on the way in an hour, so we had to wrap up the walk sooner than we wanted. Kengo had the first encounter with a turtle.

Pax, our little tabby cat with white markings, is lying in her nest of soft, fuzzy, grey and white blankets on top of a low cat tower by a stairway. Her two white mittens are draped over the edge of the blankets. Her expression is bright and energized.

An orange cat called Henry watches nervously as I take his picture. Henry is very shy. He has an orange mane, and a cream patch around his nose. His nose is dusty pink, his eyes are green. His fur on his back and sides is quite short as he doesn’t grasp the whole concept of grooming, so we have to shave him every few months. Henry is very handsome.

Pax is happy with herself. She's made it to the 2nd floor without being chased away by her siblings. Now, the trick is, to make it back downstairs without them noticing.

Pax, our tabby cat with white markings, is lying in a makeshift bed we keep in the bathroom on the 2nd floor. It is made up of a clean lid to a litter box, turned upside down, with a self-heating blanket in it. It's her little place of refuge when the gang of wandering marauders trap her and prevent her from going downstairs where she normally resides.
