I paid $100 for Affinity 2, a few weeks back, so I've been working on trying to get good at the thing. For today's test, I am cleaning up a photo that I took in Venice, this past spring.
#Affinity2 Just took the plunge with V2, fed up with Adobe subs for something I don't use frequently. Very impressed so far and kind of enjoying the climb up the learning curve!
Also, just to say that a £90 one time cost for all their software on PC and iPad is amazing and a subscription model just wouldn't work for the sporadic nature of my illustration work. #Affinity2
This is an illustration from a book I'm working on. It has a few scanned textures and was drawn & created using Affinity Photo. I've just downloaded the full new Affinity 2 suite and I'm excited to see the updates!
... The original photo is a bit of a mess but I tried using a mask to shapen what was there and then I tried to replace the sky. It's obviously not a good option for replacement skies but I think that I'm getting there with the technique.
I was going to wait until black friday to buy Affinity Photo but the launch special for affinity 2 seems good enough.
The agency pays for creative cloud but I can't justify using that outside of work and Adobe is big .
Am I blind or did Serif still not implement path simplification in Affinity Designer?! I mean even Inkscape has that and the feature request is from 2018 or so...
