I have created proof of concept of new #Amazfish pairing process.

Previously you had to select what device class you have and then search returned just devices of that type. Now search automatically shows all known types.

Amazfish 2.5.0

Today, a new version of #Amazfish was released, marking another step forward for the project. The previous version came out three months ago, and this update brings several notable improvements. Enhancements were made in the following areas: improved Bangle.js support, easier translations, refined user experience, and better pairing functionality.

I have started #Amazfish on the #PinePhone with #PlasmaMobile via #Flatpak.

My observation is that no password prompt appears during pairing (Is agent registered?). A possible workaround is using bluetoothctl in the terminal.

Other observations:
- OpenGL glitches
- Overlapping strings
- Slow CPU/IO while rendering heart rate

I just found out that there will be a SailfishOS hackathon—#Sailathon24—at the Školící centrum Silicon Hill in Strahov, Prague, from September 27 to 30. Hopefully, I can join with #Amazfish, #PinePhone , maybe #NemoMobile, or #AsteroidOS. Let me know if you plan to travel there.

Trying to package #Amazfish into #flatpak. Flatpak doesn't provide way to start back end as systemd service. Otherwise it looks working. It needs to be polished still. Your feedback and tests are welcome. https://github.com/flathub/flathub/pull/5173
