Brad Linder<p><strong>How to use laptop or tablet as a touchpad (and keyboard) for a Windows PC</strong></p><p>After decades of working with computers, I started to develop some wrist and arm pain a few year ago. So I switched from using whatever random mouse I could find for under $20 to using input devices meant to alleviate wrist pain. And for the past few years I’ve been happily switching back and forth between a Logitech MX Vertical mouse and a Kensington Expert Mouse Wireless Trackball.</p><p>And […]</p><p><a rel="nofollow noopener" class="hashtag u-tag u-category" href="https://liliputing.com/tag/amazon-fire-max-11/" target="_blank">#amazonFireMax11</a> <a rel="nofollow noopener" class="hashtag u-tag u-category" href="https://liliputing.com/tag/android/" target="_blank">#android</a> <a rel="nofollow noopener" class="hashtag u-tag u-category" href="https://liliputing.com/tag/android-tablet/" target="_blank">#androidTablet</a> <a rel="nofollow noopener" class="hashtag u-tag u-category" href="https://liliputing.com/tag/barrier/" target="_blank">#barrier</a> <a rel="nofollow noopener" class="hashtag u-tag u-category" href="https://liliputing.com/tag/bluetooth-mouse-keyboard/" target="_blank">#bluetoothMouseKeyboard</a> <a rel="nofollow noopener" class="hashtag u-tag u-category" href="https://liliputing.com/tag/de-quervain-tenosynovitis/" target="_blank">#DeQuervainTenosynovitis</a> <a rel="nofollow noopener" class="hashtag u-tag u-category" href="https://liliputing.com/tag/deskflow/" target="_blank">#deskflow</a> <a rel="nofollow noopener" class="hashtag u-tag u-category" href="https://liliputing.com/tag/ergonomics/" target="_blank">#ergonomics</a> <a rel="nofollow noopener" class="hashtag u-tag u-category" href="https://liliputing.com/tag/fire-tablet/" target="_blank">#fireTablet</a> <a rel="nofollow noopener" class="hashtag u-tag u-category" href="https://liliputing.com/tag/input-devices/" target="_blank">#inputDevices</a> <a rel="nofollow noopener" class="hashtag u-tag u-category" href="https://liliputing.com/tag/kvm/" target="_blank">#kvm</a> <a rel="nofollow noopener" class="hashtag u-tag u-category" href="https://liliputing.com/tag/synergy/" target="_blank">#synergy</a> <a rel="nofollow noopener" class="hashtag u-tag u-category" href="https://liliputing.com/tag/touchpad/" target="_blank">#touchpad</a></p><p>Read more: <a href="https://liliputing.com/how-to-use-laptop-or-tablet-as-a-touchpad-and-keyboard-for-a-windows-pc/" rel="nofollow noopener" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="ellipsis">liliputing.com/how-to-use-lapt</span><span class="invisible">op-or-tablet-as-a-touchpad-and-keyboard-for-a-windows-pc/</span></a></p>

Laren<p>In the past, I've advocated for the purchase of Kindle Fire tablets to install google play on them to use D&amp;D Beyond, if that's a toolset you make use of. (Otherwise, demiplane, reading pdfs, what-have-you.) However, on taking it to my most recent game, I discovered Amazon's come up with a new trick:</p><p>Their updates, which come frequently, uninstall google play and apps installed via it.</p><p>Now, this isn't much of a problem, overall. You can reinstall Play Services and redownload the books, takes a little time and that's it. But that's also kinda not the point. This was supposed to be a cheap and easy thing. It's why I've been a fan of the Kindle Fire sidegrade method for a while. Now it's become a little bit of a pain.</p><p>So, with that in mind I went off to find alternatives... and the android tablet market is *bleak.* Yes, there is the Pixel tablet, which will stop getting OS upgrades next year. Various other makers have their own tablets, but if I'm getting android, I want *full* android. And then there's the samsung set... and I'll be completely honest: I am *not* a samsung fan. I haven't been for a while. I would rather buy an ipad than a samsung, if that's any indication of how far gone that is for me. (And yes, I've considered an ipad.) </p><p>So, folks of the fediverse, what's your take? Any android tablets, preferrably ones that'll get OS updates if not security updates, that you prefer? Any straight up linux tablets out there worth even talking about? Cheaper, at this point, is better.</p><p><a href="https://infosec.exchange/tags/androidtablet" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>androidtablet</span></a> <a href="https://infosec.exchange/tags/android" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>android</span></a> <a href="https://infosec.exchange/tags/dnd" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>dnd</span></a></p>
