After reading "Authors discover book bans, four years later" by #KellyJensen over at #BookRiot, (here: bookriot.com/stephen-king-and-), on #StephenKing's shock and surprise that *his* books are being banned in Florida. #PatriciaCornwell is also shocked. Indeed, how dare they!

If you're like me and know little or nothing about manga (Japanese comics) and are looking for a way into this medium, read Vernieda Vergara's "A Beginner's Guide to Manga".

This Book Riot piece introduces the topic more clearly and concisely than does the Wikipedia article. It also offers notable examples of works in various important manga genres.

I now have a better idea of what to look for in libraries and bookshops.
