#bowling

Oof. Today was a tough #bowling day. The weather has been atrocious for my tennis elbow and I totally overdid it with cleaning yesterday. Two games were well above my average and one not so good score but it was close enough to my average, so... Oh well. We took five points, anyway.

Plus, I'm going to see Wicked in a little bit! That should be fun.

Small complaint. Some bowling alleys no longer polish their floors so we cannot get any slide in our foot when making our throw.

This is the worst thing to happen to #bowling since they started putting bumpers in the lanes to prevent kids from getting gutter balls. (How else will we learn?)

My first day back to #bowling since the beginning of January and I bowled a 145 for the first game. Minus one terrible frame and some splits, I did really well. I wish I could have had an all spare game. You get a medal for that. I even scored higher than my two teammates. They both ended up with 144s and I had a 145 score. Over the course of the morning, I also had six strikes. I'm very happy. I bowled above my average for all three games. I may or may not be hobbling around now, but it was worth it. Woot!

Ok, so that's it for Takamatsu, for me at least. There's so much art, design, and craft to see here—I would come back anytime. Plus, I never got to check out the local bowling scene.

Takamatsu: come for world-class design, stay for the bowling

Today was bowling. 6 people showed up.

We used 2 adjacent lanes. The game went much faster than when we all use 1 lane.

I'm not sure that's better because half the fun is chatting with others. And #bowling more games = paying more money.

And, to be honest, I don't #bowl well so why pay more?

Tonight I bowled two-handed to give my thumb a rest. I can't say that I scored well, but I can very confidently say that I improved! ...which is good, because I think I'll be bowling like this for a while.

(I'd see a doctor about it, but for now it's a case of "doctor, it hurts when I do this! --well, then don't do that." When it stops being hurty, I'll visit the pro shop and see if I need a fit adjustment or something.)

I subbed for someone in another league tonight. Bowled my 2nd best night. 615 total. My 2nd highest series and 2nd time breaking 600.

Game 1 was clean. No open frames. Total of 3 open frames the entire night. Pretty happy with it!
