Carroll Baker stars in Umberto Lenzi's 1969 proto-giallo Orgasmo. Baker is a rich widow who gets mixed up with a much younger brother and sister. Baker thinks she's in control. She isn't. Very stylish, lots of unhealthy eroticism and decadence.

The Killer Is One of Thirteen (1973) is a Spanish giallo or rather proto-giallo, these films being stylish decadent erotic thrillers rather than gorefests. Sadly this one has the decadence but it's slow, very unsexy and not stylish enough.

A Quiet Place To Kill (1970) is a superb stylish early-period Umberto Lenzi giallo. Lots of twisted emotional and erotic relationships that take deadly and unexpected turns. Carroll Baker is fantastic. I love pre-Argento giallos.

So Sweet...So Perverse (1969), an Umberto Lenzi giallo starring Carroll Baker. With delightfully twisted nasty plot twists coming thick and fast. You can't take anybody in this movie at face value. Decadence, betrayal and murder. Great stuff.

#SomethingWild, 1961, starring #CarrollBaker (#Lolita) is ultimately a perverse story with a wtf ending.

It's artistically and technically well done, but it's fundamentally a toxic mess that could have been an interesting psychological drama, instead.

A good thing is there are more #Black people naturally in the background than in most #movies and #tv #shows set in #NewYork today.

Also good to see familiar faces like #EdithStapleton, #DorisRoberts, and #CliftonJames in bit parts.

Station Six-Sahara is a deliciously overheated 1963 British potboiler starring American blonde bombshell Carroll Baker.

Five men at an isolated station in Sahara, they haven't seen a woman for months, then Carroll Baker arrives and as you can imagine things get interesting.

It’s delightfully steamy and sleazy and overcooked. With plenty of simmering eroticism.
