Jake in the desertRevisiting the 2019 record 'Nighttime Stories' by Chicago's PELICAN today. I was a big Pelican fan years back- still am, really. I must've either bounced off this or missed it when it came out. Their 2013 one I didn't dig much, but I liked all Pelican's earlier stuff. Jake in the desertA new find for this week's <a href="https://c.im/tags/ThursDeath" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#ThursDeath</a>, another band I found via a flyer of a band I dig (I forget who) since both bands are playing together soon. Chicago's VOIMATON play a great, chuggy mix of death doom that is infectious.
