Old western tv shows always project something in black and white that just works better with my mind. Perhaps it just makes the atmosphere feel older but I’m not entirely certain. For example Gunsmoke never felt right to me in color. Tonight I was viewing ‘Wanted Dead or Alive’ through Pluto. Before it some ‘Have Gun, Will Travel’. #ClassicTelevision
These old episodes of Get Smart could really benefit from a clean transfer followed by some effort from a good colorist. The contrast is somewhat poor, the reds and greens are dull, and everything has a yellow cast.
The blues look great though. It's kind of fascinating how different hues aged differently from the old film stock.
Three 1964 episodes of my favourite US anthology series, The Outer Limits. The Invisible Enemy has sand sharks on Mars. It's OK. Wolf 359 is excellent -scientists create a miniature world. I, Robot is quite good - a robot is tried for murder.

Rod Serling's The After Hours, still my all-time favourite episode of The Twilight Zone. Has that wonderful subtle sense of slowly increasing unease. Great performance by Anne Francis. I've seen it many times and I like it more each time.

Voyagers! (1982) is a kids' sci-fi time travel series that plays fast and loose with history and is nothing more than a light-hearted adventure series. But it's lively and highly enjoyable.
