Aussie peeps!
I just finished watching the Victorian Alps-set crime series High Country.
Before that, I binged on all the Mystery Road episodes and the prequels.
Peak Australian-gothic mystery stuff, & I love it.
What should I hit next? Any recommendations gratefully received.
Shout out! Are there any UK Crime Drama anoraks out there with a really good knowledge of the genre? I'm looking for an old (2000s?) one off drama but only have a s slight premise and some clues.

While I did enjoy The Breakthrough on Netflix, it is quite slow, and very down, throughout.

You know #kubernetes is mainstream when it is used as a key plot device in a procedural drama (NCIS). #crimedrama #cbs #ncis
If I don't watch The Rockford Files net it will be Charlie's Angels (the show). I've not seen either of them before so which should I go for? Let the Fediverse decide! #crimedrama #drama #action #adventure #crime #drama
What do people think to The Rockford Files? I've never watched it before and I'm considering getting into it. I see it has decent reviews but what do you think? Thanks! #crimedrama #detective
TODAY IN QUEER TV HISTORY
HUNTER: "From San Francisco with Love" - 11/15/1986, NBC
Would you believe... still MORE homicidal lesbians on 1960s-80s American TV? In this case, a very dysfunctional couple (played by Philece Sampler and Laura Johnson) have bumped off one partner's husband and stepson for an inheritance. This episode was sort of the "last hurrah" for pigeonholing queer women so narrowly on US TV dramas.
By the end of 1986, portrayals of queer women were finally starting to diversify, and we even got the first lesbian regular role on a series two years later, on HEARTBEAT.
What's the better 80s US crime show, Magnum, P.I. or Miami Vice? #CrimeDrama #MiamiVice #MagnumPI
I can highly recommend the BBC police drama, Better, on TVNZ+. It's about a detective, played wonderfully by Leila Farzad, who is corrupt on behalf of a local crime boss. Events conspire, as they do, to force her to choose the right path. It's intelligent and nuanced, if at times a little unbelievable. But the Brits do this stuff so well, so, Better is well worth watching.
#NowPlaying Lalo Schifrin, Bullitt Original Motion Picture Soundtrack (Warner, 1968). A standout in the crime drama film score genre, this might be Schifrin’s best work. Never has a big band been so funky. This LP is a more recent reissue of the original score, though Schifrin re-recorded all the music in 2000 with the WDR Big Band in Germany (available on CD and digital) resulting in slightly different versions of the tunes with more modern recording fidelity. And of course the movie is amazing, a must-see (especially for SF folks). #vinyl #soundtrack #records #Bullitt #crimedrama
I've watched #Vera through S12, and there's only one left, so I wanted to save it. So I found something else: #TheCoroner . And well
If you enjoyed crime drama Traces previously, it returns for Series 2 is on BBC1 tonight.
Previously shown on the Alibi channel, this Dundee-set show has always felt a little different.
Just finished watching the first series of All The Sins on Channel 4's on demand service. It's really interesting and thought-provoking, as well as being a good crime drama. Would definitely recommend. It's available until 31 March. In Finnish with subtitles.

If you’re interested in #Abortion on TV, #ArcticCircle TV (Finland #Ivalo) is a must-see. Lina Kuustonen, Pihla Viitala , & Venla Ronkainen are amazing.
A lot of the dialogue is in English as the default common language between neighboring countries. Watch it in Finnish w/ subtitles on Topic TV.
If you’ve watched it, I’m curious as to what you think. #Heartbeat #AbortionDoping #DownSyndrome #GayRights #DrugAddiction #CrimeDrama #FeministTV #AbortionOnTV #NordicNoir #FinlandTV
Undercover (1994) sees Columbo posing as a gangster on the trail of clues which will lead to the discovery of $4M in ill-gotten gains - the lost proceeds of a bank robbery, when all of the crooks involved were gunned down (after hiding the cash). Despite departing from the series formula, it was a ratings success - but one that broadly hasn’t stood the test of time. Good turn by Tyne Daly though.

It's probably been a decade since I last watched Bones, but it seems I have retained my ability to watch it while eating dinner without feeling sick.
