I was parked for an hour today while waiting for my ex to finish the appointment I drive them to, so I took the opportunity to make a new crow friend while I sat there.

To be honest I didn't know it was Crow and Raven Appreciation Day today until a friend told me.

But check out this crow harassing a red-tailed hawk in the tree outside my building moments ago. This has been going on for hours. On my walk home three crows were dive-bombing the hawk.

This feud goes back.

I appreciate how crows are like anti-fascists, making everyone safer by picking on bullies and predators.

a not-so-little birdie told me that it's international crow & raven appreciation day & i fully support this initiative - so much so that a crow was the mascot for my now-defunct 'radical bird club'.
