Theros D&D poll: Through a series of coincidences and bold choices, the group have become the household troops of an allied NPC that turned out to be the King of Akros.

Because he boasts no military achievements, is physically weak, and has temporarily abandoned his station, many of the Lektoi (ruling families) think he's unfit to rule, and intend to make a bid for the throne by challenging him.

Who are the leaders of these families, and what defines them?

Something I wish I'd included in my friendly rant video against AI in DnD in answer to the people who say "AI is just a tool"

...well giant 4x4s and SUVs are just a tool, but they are entirely overkill (word chosen carefully) for the job that most folks put them to use for.

Using an LLM to give inspiration when you could use a random table is the same as using a 4x4 for the school run - the wrong tool for the job, and a tool which has actively harmful externalities.

My kid (8) has asked me to run a tabletop game for her and her friends (my dreams as a parent are all coming true!) and I'm sincerely excited by the prospect. BUT: I must also consider how to handle this.
Do I just get her to invite some friends over?
Do I make it a club at the school?
Do I make it a club at the library next to the school?

Any advice / anecdotes are appreciated!
