There is a reason we only do Silver Run rd/trail hike up to that Plateau 1-2X a year. Steep/rocky ascent from 1920m to 2865m in 6K 
. Slow up and at times down have be careful. Drying now too, just little trickle for 4K near top out to stream 3000m. Tundra turning crunchy in windy areas, little smoky too. Sundance couldn't come hurt left front paw Tue., getting better but needs few more days. 24K hike total, topped out 3050m where strong SW wind was, 18C very dry. #hiking #dogs #climate #montana

I knew that summer is far from over. But when the heat and bright sunshine return, we the old men get tired.
Birds are too fast for me, but I managed to capture one young American robin. The blue sky looked good with airplanes (living 30 mins from the world's largest airport has a few benefits). One more day.
