LuanaUgh, I noticed that Ecosia’s results got considerably worse recently. Then now I want to check and they’re now grabbing results from Google instead of Bing. Their Help page says I should have a config to choose if I want Google or Bing, but I don’t.
The Google results are fucking awful, wtf. Wtf happened to google in the last few years, that’s wild.

For streaming, I’m exploring ArteTV alongside other free Scandinavian services.
I’m also looking into Plex as a long-term alternative. Seems like I’ll need a NAS for that—any recommendations?

I recently switched from #ecosia to #duckduckgo - but I find I have to switch back to avoid getting #ai stuffed in my throat!
I've disabled ai feature several times but they keep being switched back. #wtf !

@pheasant_plucker @Mojeek start page, after some redditors from r/#BuyFromEU made some digging, turns out not to be European. Stay with #Qwant or #Ecosia. The best what we’ve got right now. They have joined forces to make a #European search engine.

@alexlunaview switched to #Ecosia on my devices to try it out.
Their cookie consent is intrusive, blocking most of the results on my phone.
Sadly it pops up every time I search because I use private tabs by default.
I’ll keep it for a while but I have a feeling this will get old.
I ditched #Kagi for a similar reason: I had to login again for every search I did. Apparently this is fixed on later iOS versions but I’m not ready to turn my iPhone 8 into e-waste “.
