A Quiet Faerie Life<a href="https://mastodon.au/tags/EpauletteShark" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#EpauletteShark</a> at Lady Elliot on the southern tip of the <a href="https://mastodon.au/tags/greatbarrierreef" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#greatbarrierreef</a>. It was the one creature I wished to see while I was there. During a <a href="https://mastodon.au/tags/fish" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#fish</a> feeding one of the <a href="https://mastodon.au/tags/marinebiologist" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#marinebiologist</a> hosted to showcase some of the fish of the <a href="https://mastodon.au/tags/reef" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#reef</a>. This little guy came up at the end and right up to the shore. These <a href="https://mastodon.au/tags/sharks" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#sharks</a> are remarkable little things. They can walk on the reef when they get stuck as the tide goes out. Helps them get to a <a href="https://mastodon.au/tags/tidalpool" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#tidalpool</a> or deeper water. It was a perfect moment. I was so excited to see this little guy. I honestly did not think I was going to as they are shy.
