@paulc @mastodonmigration @JonChevreau @caregivers Making sure you saw this, Paul. You too, @CindyWeinstein. While this article and research is about frontotemporal, and a test for early detection, on this type of dementia so much of the experience carries across other neurological conditions. From what I’ve read, the #FTP is even more difficult. Actually, many caregivers of a dependent adult with severe and late stage conditions face similar challenges. I’m still so glad I read that book for caregivers, by Kiper, Travellers to Unimaginable Lands: Dementia, Carers and the Hidden Workings of the Mind.

Viewing the first post. The caption reads "Composting is mandatory - Avoid a fine!", and shows a a garbage bin with a paper above it that says "FINE <!> $". It also shows a compost bin with food scraps pouring into (or out of?) it. Between the two bins stands a cop with a big grin, holding a notepad and also has his arm out above the compost bin, holding what looks like a ping pong paddle but it is white with a big green checkmark on it. The position of the arm makes it look like there was a gun in his hand that was photoshopped out maybe? NYC Sanitation police officers are proper cops that carry firearms/batons/etc, btw. Because you never know when you'll encounter an armed garbage bin!

We were told 'of course we shouldn't defund the police', because there are mostly 'good cops' there.

Yet now #Trump (and Republicans) is getting them to round up, interrogate and deport to anywhere, anyone that doesn't 'look American', or is 'anti-American'/anti-Trump, I'm not seeing any trickle, let alone mass resignations from these 'good cops'.

Mám dotaz pro nějakého #linux guru. Na #Ubuntu používám na zálohování dat aplikaci #deja-dup (postaveno na #duplicity), data ukládám via #ftps na #NAS. Jenže deja-dup se vždycky zastaví na ověření certifikátu a bez manuálního potvrzení nezálohuje. Jak mu vysvětlit, že to nemá dělat? (Zatím jsem přešel na obyčejné #ftp, což v domácí síti není problém.)

Jetzt einen sehr einfachen #WebDav drauf gesetzt, ein wenig gemogelt und als #nextcloud getarnt, schwupps funktioniert der Dateiaustausch per offizieller #Feuerwehr-App - aber mit einer Geschwindigkeit, hui, das ist eine Freude. Und das alles über #LTE.

#Jellyfin hat seine Grenzen, klar, bei 0,5 gbyte Arbeitsspeicher, aber es funkrioniert.

#Paperlessngx funktioniert auch super.

#chatmail, #deltachat, zwei #deltabots, ein Einbahn- #FTP-Service für paperless und ein findmydeviceserver laufen auch noch drauf.

Geht alles. Was fehlt gleich noch?

Macht mal Vorschläge! Ich bin sehr zufrieden.

Snuten pratar om att offren i Örebro skulle vara slumpmässigt utvalda. Men en organisation som är full av strukturell rasism, kan inte förstå rasism. Snuten borde läsa rapporten ”Slumpvis utvald”, som visar att snuten misstänkliggör folk på deras (rasifierade) utseende. Som Rickard Andersson gjorde. #acab #ftp
