Paralhax 👾About groups in Fedi:How about we tag the group we are writing in only in the first post, and remove the tag in the replies?Context: Like many others here, I have a problem with an excess of random information. I do my best to sort and filter it, but it's not always technically possible. When a group is tagged in every post and every reply, we see replies without context boosted by the group in our feed. To understand the context, we have to click on the reply to see the entire thread. But often we end up in a thread we've already seen because we entered it through the first post or one of dozens of other replies. Or we simply weren't interested in the question in the first post, so why should we scroll through the replies? If groups were only marked in the first post, we would see much less information on the feed, but we could still read all the replies by entering the thread. I know that there are people who like the current form and want to be notified of every reply in every thread, but there is another function for that - the bell icon (Notify me when group posts). Besides, if you consider a reply to be important and it makes sense even without the context of the thread, you can still tag a group in it, or if it's someone else's reply, you can boost it.
