The fields surrounding the road were wheat, so I knew that at some point, a human being had to come up here, but on the day I was there, I had the road entirely to myself.

We came upon some Icelandic horses in a pasture with wonderful late-day sun highlighting the scene. We wanted to photograph them in the pasture with the great light. But we’d have to work fast since Icelandic horses are very friendly and will head for the fence line as soon as they saw us! Which they did!
