Here I am trying to set a BTG (Bridge To Gantry) time in an unmodified new van, with an #eircom livery I threw together last night.
#GT7 Sophy 2.1 is the best update since Spec II and it's not even close. Maybe even better than that.
I do a lot of 15-30 minute custom races just to fake a track session. I "race" against AI not to really win but just to practice being in traffic, executing passes, etc.
Even just for that, setting all competition aside, Sophy is way better. It drives better, it's more consistent, it's more interesting. My Clio R.S. started in front of a spec Miata and right away we got into a multi-lap fight for position. That was unthinkable with the old AI. Love it.

As an older and perhaps more casual #GT7 player, it usually takes me until the weekend to finish the weekly challenges. Also, this week, while everyone was moaning about the inability of the Viper to take a corner, I found myself wondering if I was feeling the same or if there were other factors at play. I think everyone knows by now that the Viper demands a different approach to corners—an approach that starts much sooner before each corner compared to others. (more ...)

I think the middle one is the small #Mazda CUV which is fine because #zoomzoom and #SoulRedCrystal.
Someone said the left car is a #Renault #Kangoo. Which initially thought was bonkers until I remembered just how popular they are in Japan.
A very damp Wookie Ford took a look at their popularity a few months ago.
One thing I dislike about the one-make races is that it's hard to tell how much the AI cars are tuned, so it's hard to set up a competitive race.
For this week's 205 event I went in with Sports everything: tires, suspension, brakes, ECU, intake, exhaust. I thought this was modest but I was P1 before the race was half over. Gonna have to detune and try again.

Gran Turismo 7 Update 1.56 has arrived as expected, bringing with it 3 new cars including the classic off-road Unimog. It also adds new events, engine swaps and tracks compatible with GT Sophy.

I feel like I got to B rank thanks to one specific race. I just did some Red Bull Ring Gr4 and got crushed. Four races, always finished worse than I started, twice dead last.
I don't want to blame the car but I do think driving the Mégane might be hard mode. The Evos and other 4WD cars seem to be able to get on the power way sooner than I can. It adds up when most turns have a decent straight after them.
Putting the "Challenge" into the Weekly Challenges this week, the Viper race was a close one, I had to throw all the racing parts at the '02 GTS (and made a sweet graffiti-themed/#RedFang livery for it!) and I detuned the SF19 so much that drafting was essential as it lacked the power on the straights, so for once it wasn't a cake walk.
On the other hand, the Valkyrie seems to trivialise any race it qualifies for.
#FallenEarth Still grinding away in the Wastelands, crafted an ATV (which takes like 12 hours and took 12 levels to grind all the quests that get you the skill to craft it, have I mentioned how old school this MMO is lol) and at this point have ignored half the players cause they either cheaters or complaining about the cheaters
Some VR games: #NoMansSky Worlds 2 update is fairly amazing looking so I'm trying to get stuff done I've missed over the years I've taken breaks from it, currently working on the Autophage chain which is the last thing I need before the newest quest line can be accessed.

#RedMatter Just picked this one up. liking the atmosphere of it, tho I do wish the controls were a bit more adjustable but I am guessing they want you to move kinda slow.
