If a #GagOrder is violated there should be consequences. Maybe there will be a fine, maybe there will be multiple fines. Maybe if he does it a third time he will be held in contempt of court. Maybe if he does it a fourth time he might serve time in jail.
But it's ust so f****** annoying that this whole process has been changed for Donald Trump.
People should not expect to be intimidated, & get death threats for being a witness.

The thing about #EricAdams having a #GagOrder on him means he can't talk to witnesses. This is designed to stop #WitnessIntimidation.
As an indicted defendant he is under some pre-trial release conditions. One of which is that he does not have the same rights as somebody who is not under Federal indictment.

We went through this whole story about how narrowly tailored Gag Orders are not a violation of the 1st Amendment.

The magistrate judge imposed a gag order preventing #EricAdama from talking to witnesses in the case.

A #GagOrder!? "What about his free speech?! How can he do his job without talking & attacking the Witnesses in the case?
This is a violation of his 1st Amendment rights!
if he violates it what are they going to do? Put him in the prison? You can't do that!"

In May, #Trump was convicted on 34 counts of having #FalsifiedBusinessRecords in connection w/a #HushMoney payment to his ex-fixer #MichaelCohen made to adult film actress #StormyDaniels so she would keep her story of an affair w/Trump… a secret until after the 2016 presidential election.[#ElectionInterference]

The #GagOrder once prevented Trump from attacking key witnesses — like Cohen & Daniels — & jurors, but the judge partially lifted the order after the trial’s conclusion.

#NewYork’s high court tossed out #Trump’s #appeal of the #GagOrder in his #FalsifiedBusinessRecords / #ElectionInterference / #HushMoney #criminal case Thurs.

The gag order, which remains in partial effect ahead of Trump’s #sentencing, bars him from making public remarks about prosecutors involved in the case or their families.

In a brief order, the court said “no substantial #constitutional question is directly involved” & that it would dismiss Trump’s appeal.
