Getting something at the same caliber of the movies and SAC will always be difficult, soundtrack wise, but this is too boring despite the menagerie of genres.
This new band they got to promote the new GitS anime isn't working out. It's either too experimental or just too bland.

I LOVE how the style is very strongly inspired by the original #manga by #MasamuneShirow - I love the 1995 movie, but what REALLY got me into the fandom was the manga, so I'm actually very excited about this!

Ich LIEBE, wie sich der Style sehr eng an dem Original-Manga von Masamune Shirow orientiert - ich liebe den 1995-Film, aber so wirklich, WIRKLICH ins Fandom eingestiegen bin ich mit dem Manga, also bin ich tatsächlich sehr gespannt darauf!

→Ⓣ I don't think Ronan Harris was inspired or influenced by Innocence when he wrote Darkangel. It's just that the song uses the imagery of a fallen angel, and because that is largely what Milton's Paradise Lost is about, there is this link with the Ghost in the Shell movie.
The shape of the airplane's wings and the cathedral-like buildings on Etorofu reinforce the reference.
After all, Togusa is quoting from Paradise Lost to express his reaction to the scene they are confronted with. And the makers of the movie have him do this because they want us to realise this connection.
