Just finished watching the 3 hr #NBC #TV special -- Opry 100 -- celebrating 100 yrs of #CountryMusic at the #GrandOleOpry.-- off my #DVR.
I only own a handful full of country #music recordings. So, I was surprised that I enjoyed watching the entire show.
I was also fascinated by how detailed & complex the lyrics & arrangements of country music can be, which gives me a greater appreciation of the genre.

Adeem the Artist is, I believe, the first openly nonbinary artist to EVER play at the Grand Ole Opry. They opened their two-song debut with a dedication to Marsha P. Johnson.
Excuse the grainy photos but please note the circle they are standing in is wood from the original stage of the Ryman Auditorium, which means they are standing on the exact same place every legendary country singer has stood on. They are one in the making.
